Ryan Rothstein

Counselor in Training

Hi there! My name is Ryan, and I am currently a counselor in training studying at Governors State University. I am pursuing a master’s degree in counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. I think that taking the first step in reaching out for help is the most difficult, but it also is a sign of strength and shows immense bravery and courage. I am honored to have the privilege of serving unique individuals, couples, and families on their journey to healing and wellness. I pride myself on treating clients with warmth, unconditional positive regard, kindness, and authenticity while providing a safe and empathic environment for the start of the healing process to begin and progress over time. I believe that clients have the innate ability and tools needed to reach their full potential. I have experience working with diverse populations and treating issues including couple’s issues, family issues, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, parental anxieties, abuse, trauma, grief, self-esteem, social skills, career development, and life adjustment issues.

I am Gottman Level 1 certified and trained for couple’s therapy. I have an interest in working and gaining more experience working with couples and families.

I commend you for considering taking the leap to either starting or continuing your healing journey and thank you for considering me as your counselor.
