Rachel Fassl-Downing

MA, LPC

My name is Rachel Fassl-Downing. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a MA in Counselor Education and a MA in Administrative Leadership. I have been in the helping and education profession for over 15 years. I am dedicated to supporting others on their health and wellness journey. Life can have its ups and downs, with many challenges. My goal is to walk alongside and to empower individuals to embark on their personal journeys of growth, healing and fulfillment through supportive guidance, while fostering an environment of hope and resilience.

As a previous practicing school counselor, I love working with adolescents, young adults, and their families. My experience also includes counseling a wide population of diverse clients with specialty areas including:, but not limited to, depression, self-esteem, anger, anxiety, grief, stress, special education, social skills, LGBTQ+, divorce and terminal illness.  My counseling approach stems from a CBT approach that focuses on understanding connections of thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Specialties: adolescents, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger management, relationships, social issues, emotional issues, special education (disabilities), children/youth and LGBTQ+.
