Melissa Zofkie
LPC, NCC
Through a positive and non-judgmental perspective, I hope to build an empathetic relationship with individuals that are seeking counseling. We will work together as a team to explore experiences and gain understanding to promote a healthier lifestyle. My approach to counseling is from a person-centered point of view. As a clinician, my goal is to empower and motivate clients to reach their objectives and goals.
I have obtained bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Therapeutic Recreation from the University of St. Francis and have earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University. I have experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, attention difficulties, depression, expressive language, anger management, relationship building, self-esteem, and grief and loss.
As a mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and niece, I value the importance of family and the impact healthy relationships have on a person’s life. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family. From camping to skiing, water sports, or walking trails, I love incorporating nature into my life. I am available for in-person and online sessions. I look forward to being part of your journey.
