Kim Simmons
Welcome! I am a school psychologist with over 13 years of experience serving children and families. My work is grounded in the belief that every child has unique strengths, and my goal is to help uncover and support those strengths by cultivating a safe space and compassionate care.
I specialize in psychoeducational evaluations, with a focus on challenges related to academics, depression, anxiety, school avoidance, executive functioning, and social-emotional development.
Currently I am pursuing my doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision at Governors State University. I am committed to lifelong learning and I am passionate about using that knowledge to create safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, community service, concerts and theater.
