Grace Combs

MA Counselor, Reiki Practitioner

Hello! My name is Grace! I am a master’s-level counselor whose passion lies in walking alongside individuals of all ages as they navigate life’s challenges, discover their strengths, and move toward greater self-understanding and emotional balance. I hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University and a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Kentucky.

My approach to counseling is holistic and person-centered, grounded in the belief that every individual possesses the inner capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. I prioritize creating a compassionate, authentic therapeutic relationship and strive to meet each client where they are—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I believe healing unfolds in safe, supportive spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. My clinical style is integrative and adaptive, drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique goals and preferences. This may include skill-building around emotional regulation, boundary setting, self-reflection, identity exploration, relational healing, and the development of effective coping strategies to navigate the complexities of their lives. I incorporate elements of mindfulness practices, insight-oriented work, and practical tools to foster self-awareness, resilience, and deeper connection to self and others. I also believe in the healing power of humor and encourage clients to bring their full, authentic selves into the therapy space. I applaud you for taking the first steps toward creating a more balanced and fulfilling life and am excited and honored to be a part of your journey and walk alongside you in the process of growth, healing, and transformation!

Outside of the therapy room, I serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, where I advocate for the well-being and best interests of children in the foster care system. This role has deepened my commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, bringing empathy and advocacy into every space I occupy, and my belief in the power of compassionate presence and the importance of feeling truly heard.

In my free time, I enjoy walks in nature, cozy cuddles with my two cats, playing board games with loved ones, writing poetry, and relaxing with some much-needed self-care!
