Nico Gianni
Clinical Lead: Beyond Acceptance, MA Counselor
How often do you get to share what’s on your mind without fears of judgment, damage to relationships, or raising concern? For many, therapy can offer freedom from these limitations for the first time in their life. Whether you’re having concerns about work, school, relationships, or the state of the world, we can process them together.
You are the expert of your own story. In my practice, I strongly believe you shouldn’t have to explain the basics of your identities to your therapist. Instead, your lived experience of these identities can show how you want to live, your values and strengths, as well as how you want to engage with the world around you. Your identities may not be the cause of your concerns, but they may be the solution.
I work with clients holding any identity, but I specialize in working with adults within the LGBTQIA+, CNM/Poly, and Kink communities. My approach is based on developing the client-therapist relationship; as I believe the most fruitful work can be accomplished together. I utilize empathy, humor, and directness as we work to accomplish your goals.
I appreciate how difficult it is to reach out and ask for help, and I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Currently, I work with clients virtually and in person at our Homer Glen location.
