Jenna Kane

Hi! I’m Jenna. After obtaining a B.S. in psychology and a minor in communications, I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Governors State University. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I look forward to walking alongside you each step of the way. No matter what your healing journey looks like, you can count on my compassion and support to reassure you that you are not alone as we navigate it together.

Using a psychodynamic lens, my goal is to better understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped the person you are today. I believe that gaining insight into your story can create meaningful opportunities for growth, healing, and self-discovery. As a team, we will identify your personal goals and aspirations while building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Growing up in a multi-cultural family, I have developed the ability to view situations from various perspectives. I aim to create an inclusive and affirming environment for clients, no matter their demographics. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, and I value meeting each client exactly where they are in their journey.

Outside of the therapeutic space, I fill my time with activities that promote self-care to ensure that I can show up for clients in a positive way. I enjoy cycling and weightlifting, reading good books, and spending time with family and friends (including my loving gecko, Gerardo). Taking care of yourself is imperative in taking care of others. I am honored to be part of your healing process, and I look forward to supporting you as you move toward positive growth and well-being.
