Counselor In Training

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern that will be graduating from the University of Phoenix. As a counseling intern, I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families improve their overall well-being and mental health. I work with clients of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures, and I believe each client has strengths, insight, and personal experiences that can support healing and growth. I use a variety of counseling approaches as well as techniques to help clients build healthy coping skills, challenge unhelpful thoughts, strengthen decision-making, improve relationships, and create meaningful changes in their lives.

I view counseling as a collaborative process within each client’s journey while supporting them in reaching the goals that brought them to counseling. I honor each person’s unique story and work to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where every client feels respected, supported, and understood. As an aspiring Christian counselor, I am passionate about the connection between faith, emotional wellness, and mental health, and when clients are open to it, I am comfortable incorporating spiritual practices into the counseling process. At the same time, I respect each client’s personal beliefs, faith background, and boundaries regarding religion and spirituality.

I am especially interested in marriage and couples counseling, and I hope to help couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, and work through challenges in a healthy and supportive way. I am also passionate about breaking down stereotypical barriers within the church regarding mental health and helping bring the church and the mental health field closer together in an effort to help each client wholistically. I am incredibly excited to begin my training at Beyond Healing, where I feel aligned with the organization’s mission of compassion, connection, and holistic well-being. I look forward to being part of your journey, growing as a counselor, and being part of a team that truly values the power of healing relationships. I offer both virtual and in-person counseling services and believe both can be meaningful and effective ways to support healing.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, roller-skating, bowling, walking, and working out. These activities help me stay balanced and connected to my own wellness, which I also encourage clients to explore in ways that feel meaningful to them.

“My goal is to help clients discover hope, healing, and the confidence to move forward.”
