Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.” – Mary Anne Radmacher
Going to therapy requires a great deal of strength and vulnerability. I firmly believe in creating a strong, trusting relationship with my clients to promote growth. Connection between the counselor and client is fundamental in therapy. I value the power of the client’s voice and their internal process. In providing support, empathy, and guidance, I help my clients to discover their truths. Self-honesty and awareness are vital components to the therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a space where clients can express their thoughts, process, and grow without judgement. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed School Counselor and National Certified Counselor. As a person-centered counselor, I work closely with my clients to develop a plan that aligns with their evolving needs. I use an integrative approach drawing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I specialize in working with clients who experience school and work-related stress, perfectionism, anxiety, and depression.
Specialties: adults, anxiety, adjustment issues, life changes, relationship issues, empowerment/self-esteem, codependency, and inner child work.
