Jenna Bonfiglio
Counselor in Training
Hello! My name is Jenna Bonfiglio, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Northwestern University. Through my graduate education, I’ve had the opportunity to take courses in communication and listening skills that have deeply shaped the way I engage with clients. These experiences have strengthened my ability to create a safe, welcoming space where individuals feel heard, seen, and valued.
I take a client-centered approach to counseling, drawing inspiration from Carl Rogers and his emphasis on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I am especially passionate about working with older teens, young adults, and adults, offering a space of support and non-judgment for individuals navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or identity exploration.
I aim to create an inclusive and affirming environment for people of all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. I have a strong interest in working with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression, as well as individuals who have loved ones living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. As someone who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in ASL from the University of North Florida, I’m committed to making mental health care more accessible and inclusive.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy being active—whether that’s walking, running, lifting weights, or playing pickleball. I also find peace through yoga, beach time, and mindful travel, and I love immersing myself in a good series to unwind. Staying connected to nature and to my own mind-body balance is something I truly value.
I’m incredibly excited to begin my training at Beyond Healing, where I feel aligned with the organization’s mission of compassion, connection, and holistic well-being. I look forward to growing as a counselor and being part of a team that truly values the power of healing relationships.
