“Be strong, be fearless, be beautiful. And believe that anything is possible when you have the right people there to support you.” – Misty Copeland
Helping people is one of my highest passions in life. Being able to collaborate and walk through this therapeutic journey together is something I feel very strongly about. Specifically, empowerment is one of my motivating factors. In my ideal world, I would love to see everyone supported and living their highest version of life. Through empowerment my goal is to create a safe space to be vulnerable without fear of judgement and to be met with unconditional support. I work actively to create an environment of transparency, empathy, and inclusion.
My career experience has been with adolescents, young-adults, middle-aged adults, and older-adults. My experience includes working with survivors of sexual violence, developmentally delayed middle-aged adults in a group home setting, adolescents in a residential setting, and hotline crisis response. Some topics that have been covered in therapy have been depression, anxiety, self-harming, anger management, relationships with eating, and processing sexual violence. Through my experience I have been able to gain a diverse background in working with individuals diagnosed with various mental health conditions. There is no topic that is off the table to talk about! My approach to therapy is a base of client-centered therapy. From there we incorporate other theories and practices to help you achieve your goals.
My vision for therapy is to create an environment where you know you matter, your voice matters, and that you are worthy.
