I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, personality disorders, grief and loss, divorce reactions, body image issues, weight loss issues as well as working with couples and families to transform relationship wounds into meaningful partnerships. Prior to becoming a counselor, I have worked extensively with adolescents in the school system with my Masters of Arts degree as a Learning Behavior Specialist.  Furthermore, I completed my internship program at Northwestern Medicine providing individual and group therapy to adults in an outpatient setting who struggled with various types of mental health disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar I and II Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Alcohol/Substance Use Disorder. Given my background and experience, I believe in utilizing various types of therapy methods that is most appropriate for the client that I am providing counseling services to such as, but not limited to the following: Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
